Meet Dr. Kinariwala

Dr. Bhumi B. Kinariwala, MD is a Board-Certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon. She is trained in modern refractive surgeries including LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, cataract surgery, and refractive lens exchange. Dr. Kinariwala completed her undergraduate education at Pennsylvania State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Kinariwala obtained her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where she was a member of the Hobart Amory Hare Honor Society. At Thomas Jefferson University, she received an award for outstanding aptitude and excellence in ophthalmology. Dr. Kinariwala went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at University at Buffalo. She completed a prestigious refractive surgery fellowship at Brinton Vision in St. Louis, MO, where she trained under the renowned surgeon Dr. Jason Brinton. Prior to joining Porter Ophthalmology, she worked as the lead refractive surgeon at a practice in Pittsburgh, PA. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Her contributions to ophthalmology include multiple research publications and projects. She is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kinariwala is also committed to volunteer work, as she has completed multiple mission trips internationally to perform cataract surgery for underprivileged communities.
